Do Goats Eliminate Poison Ivy?
Goats are wonderful at clearing overgrown areas and happily eat poison ivy leaves, vines, and stems. However, they typically do not remove the underground root system.
While repeated grazing can weaken poison ivy over time, the roots often survive beneath the soil and send up new growth. That’s why poison ivy frequently returns, even after it appears to be gone.
