My Story

My name is Aleta, founder of an organic poison ivy removal company serving Massachusetts’ North Shore area.

My love for plants began as a little girl, following my parents through the gardens around our home. That passion led me to become a fine gardener and work on gardens and livestock farms in Vermont and Montana before eventually specializing in poison ivy.

Everything changed after I became a mom. When my daughter was two years old, she ran through what looked like an English ivy patch—but hidden beneath it was poison ivy. Seeing the painful rash on her ankles made me realize just how dangerous this plant can be, especially for children and pets.

That experience inspired me to dedicate my career to helping families enjoy their properties safely. Over the past five years, I’ve specialized in organic poison ivy eradication, helping homeowners understand the extensive underground root systems that allow poison ivy to keep coming back. Removing it safely and effectively takes experience, knowledge, and a proven process.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking with my daughter, exploring the North Shore, foraging for mushrooms and wild edible plants, and learning about medicinal herbs.
